Meet the Founder

Welcome to the Nizami Ganjavi School of Azerbaijani Language and Culture!

My name is Sevinj Aghayeva, and I’m the founder of this school—a project that’s especially close to my heart.

I was born on April 30, 1987, in Baku, the beautiful capital of Azerbaijan, where I grew up surrounded by the richness of our language, music, poetry, and traditions. These early experiences shaped my deep love for Azerbaijani culture and continue to inspire me today.
Life eventually brought me to Munich, Germany, where I now live with my three daughters. As a mother, I’ve always felt a strong responsibility to pass on our heritage—not just to my own children, but to anyone longing to stay connected to their roots.

Why this school?
Living abroad made me realize how important it is to create spaces where our culture and language can live on, especially for younger generations. That’s why I started the Nizami Ganjavi School. It’s more than just a school—it’s a community. A place where we celebrate who we are, learn from each other, and keep our beautiful traditions alive.

Our vision:
At the Nizami Ganjavi School, we offer a warm and welcoming environment where students of all ages can learn Azerbaijani, explore our cultural heritage, and feel a sense of belonging. Best of all, the school is completely free of charge—because preserving and sharing our culture should be accessible to everyone.

Join us:
I invite you to be part of this journey—whether for yourself, your children, or simply out of curiosity and love for culture. Let’s keep the spirit of Azerbaijan alive, together.

Thank you for your interest and support.

Warmly,
Sevinj Aghayeva
